GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - Quota of Gridley is preparing for its annual fall fundraiser, The Tasting Event, with the theme “A Night Out the Quota Way.”

The Tasting Event, formerly known as the Quota Wine Tasting Event, is returning for its 22nd year and is the club’s top fundraiser, according to tasting event committee co-chair Cindy Davis.

Davis, a veteran member of the all-women’s service club, shared that the 2026 event is planned to exceed last year’s highly successful affair.

“Every year we want it to be bigger and better than the previous,” Davis said.

Quota hopes to have at least five wineries and two to three breweries pouring at the event, alongside nonalcoholic beverage options.

Confirmed participants at the time of this article included Feather Falls Brewery, Silicia Winery, Cordi Winery and Grindstone Winery.

Davis is hopeful that more will be added to the roster shortly.

Steve and Maggie Hepworth will serve their fan-favorite homemade root beer. Other beverage options will include flavored sparkling ciders, coffee and iced tea.

“We want to be sure that everyone enjoys themselves and has an enjoyable drink to pair with the grazing tables,” Davis said.

Aesthetically pleasing grazing tables will allow guests to sample a wide variety of flavors featuring self-serve finger foods and desserts. Quota’s experience with grazing tables has been highly successful and popular with guests.

In addition to savory bites and spirited sips, a silent auction is planned with more than 200 items to bid on. A wine ring toss game could send lucky winners home with expensive wines, and a photo booth with props will help make the evening memorable.

The Quota Tasting Event, “A Night Out the Quota Way,” is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 24 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Gridley Veterans Hall, 249 Sycamore St.. Tickets are $30 per person and can be purchased through any Quota member or at the door the evening of the event.

Proceeds raised by the event go directly back into the Gridley, Live Oak and Biggs communities and further Quota of Gridley’s mission to support women and children in need.
