GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - Gridley resident Max Tolman has begun a two-year mission with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and will serve in the Brazil Florianopolis Mission.
Tolman, the youngest son of Justin and Libby Tolman, began at-home Missionary Training Center instruction Sept. 9 as he prepared for his assignment in Brazil.
He delivered his mission farewell talk Sept. 20, following a church tradition for missionaries preparing to leave their home congregations.
Tolman left Sept. 23 for the church's Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah, accompanied by family. The training marks the next stage of preparation before Tolman begins his missionary service in Brazil. His mission will last two years.
