LIVE OAK, CA (MPG) - Sixteen Sutter County businesses and organizations will receive recognition Oct. 2 during the second annual Bounty of Sutter County Business Awards Luncheon in Live Oak.

Sutter County and the Yuba-Sutter Economic Development Corporation will host the luncheon beginning at 11:30 a.m. at Sutter Butte Dusters, 4080 Clark Road.

Organizers will recognize nominees across four categories: the Al Montna Agricultural Excellence Award, Business Growth Award, Outstanding Service Award and Rising Star Business Award. A winner in each category will be announced during the event.

This year's 16 nominees are Pleasant Grove Farms, Anderson's Flying Service, Sutter Butte Dusters, Butte Basin Management Co., Lomo Cold Storage, Yuba-Sutter Fair and Events Center, SayLove, Bi-County Ambulance, Gold Rush Billiards, Sutter County Children & Families Commission, Sutter Buttes Business Services, E Center, The Happy Viking, R.B. Spencer, Ampla Health and Plumas Street Pub & Grill.

The annual event recognizes businesses, employers and entrepreneurs operating in Sutter County while bringing business owners and community leaders together. Silver Sage Catering will provide the meal.

The Bounty of Sutter County luncheon rotates among the county's five supervisorial districts, allowing each district to host the event once every five years.

Last year's inaugural luncheon took place at Butte Star Ranch in District 3 in Sutter. This year's event moves to District 1 in Live Oak.

Sutter Butte Dusters will host the luncheon at its facility. The locally owned agricultural aviation business has operated in Sutter County for more than 70 years and serves Yuba, Sutter, Butte, Glenn and Colusa counties.

Last year's award recipients were Orchard Machinery Corporation, Al Montna Agricultural Excellence Award; Bains Towing & Recovery, Business Growth Award; Core Financial, Outstanding Service Award; and Be Xtra, Rising Star Business Award.
