ORANGEVALE, CA (YSBC) - The Sutter Huskies football team punished the Casa Roble Rams to a 42-0 victory on Sept. 25 and opened Golden Empire League play with a bang!

Sutter came into the matchup averaging more than 400 yards of offense and they lit up the stat sheet again as the offense couldn’t be stopped in any way by Casa Roble.

The Huskies defense put up its second-consecutive shutout in back-to-back weeks as they swarmed and dominated the Rams offense.

Sutter senior linebacker Ayden Miles recovered a fumble by Casa Roble on the opening drive of the game.

The Huskies defense had 11.0 tackles for loss and forced two turnovers in the win against the Rams.

The Sutter offense didn’t have to wait long to get on the scoreboard because the offensive line opened gaps the size of an ocean as Huskies senior running back Losi Asiata scored the first of his five rushing touchdowns in the win.

Asiata rushed the ball 20 times in the game for a total of 205 yards in the win. He had over 120 yards and three touchdowns at the half.

Asiata gives his offensive line the most credit for the wide-open running lanes throughout his journey over 850 yards after four games so far in 2026.

“Without them, I wouldn't be anywhere near being this successful this far,” Asiata said.

He added that his love for the game and the drive to get better on a daily basis is a big motivation chip he uses as well.

The Huskies haven’t hid the fact they are going to give the ball to Asiata throughout the season as he has tormented defenses with 14 total touchdowns so far.

Sutter head coach Ryan Reynolds told Yuba Sutter Butte Colusa Sports that it’s hard to go away from what has been successful throughout the season.

On the defensive side of the ball, Huskies senior defensive end Troy Bowens led the team in tackles with 14 and three tackles were for a loss.

Sutter senior linebacker Andrew Barker lived in the Rams backfield as his presence didn’t escape the offense.

Barker had10 total tackles on the Huskies victory and intercepted a pass in the second half.

Barker said the strength of the defense is the heart they have as a unit and it’s something that you can’t teach.

Sutter returns home this week as they host Woodland on Friday, Oct. 2 with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m.
