Willows 7, Live Oak 0 - Willows conquered their first victory of the season as they shut down an offense that scored 43 points the week prior.

Live Oak head coach Robert Tilton expressed to YSBC that significant injuries struck the team as they suffered multiple unforeseen circumstances during practices of the week and during the game.

The Lions were able to move the ball throughout the night, but struggled finding the end zone.

Live Oak sophomore quarterback Ethan Petrone completed seven passes for 73 yards in the air and rushed for 27 yards on the ground before he exited the game in the fourth with a lower leg injury.

Lions junior running back Joseph Martinez ran for 101 yards in the loss and scored a touchdown.

Live Oak will hit the road again this week as they head north and take on Central Valley (Shasta Lake) as kick off is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Durham 35, Biggs 7 - The Biggs Wolverines dropped their third straight game of the season as their offensive struggles continued.

Biggs head coach Eddie Del Rio made a change at the quarterback position for now as junior Hudson Brewer has stepped into that role.

Del Rio said that Brewer was able to contribute efficient passes against Durham as he completed seven during the defeat for 52 yards. Brewer also rushed the ball 99 yards for 24 carries in the loss.

Del Rio added that as the Wolverines start Mid-Valley League play against Los Molinos on Friday, he expects the team to be ready to go and play hard.

Biggs senior linebacker Cameron Kroupa led the Wolverines defensively with 10 tackles and two for a loss.

Kickoff against Los Molinos is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Gridley 39, Paradise 7 - The Gridley Bulldogs won their 17th straight regular season game dating back to the 2024 season.

Paradise scored the first points of the game early in the first quarter and Gridley head coach Daniel Zumwalt said to YSBC that the Bobcats were effective in moving the ball well in the first few possessions of the game before they were able to adjust to it.

Bulldogs senior running back Marcus Duncan led the way in rushing with 146 yards on the ground as he found the end zone one.

Gridley senior Manny Sandoval was the bruiser in the backfield for the Bulldogs in the victory as he carried the ball 14 times for 69 yards and scored three rushing touchdowns.

Gridley’s 311 rushing yards against Paradise was the second time this Bulldogs’ squad has hit more than 300 in 2026.

Gridley senior Benny Dewsnup added to his collection of tackles as the Bulldogs’ season leader in tackles added 10 on the win against Paradise.

Gridley hits the road for a small-school premier football matchup as they play at Colfax on Friday night.

The Bulldogs and Falcons kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
