Bulldogs Spear Spartans as Wolverines Shutout by Tigers on Road

Los Banos 41, Biggs 0 - The Biggs Wolverines suffered their second-straight week of offensive struggles against a superior defense.

Biggs traveled down to Merced County as they were shutout by Los Banos of the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section.

Wolverines head coach Eddie Del Rio told Yuba Sutter Butte Colusa Sports that the defense did a great job and the score doesn’t reflect the effort and how they did throughout the night.

Del Rio added that the offense did struggle against Los Banos’s defense.

Biggs returns back home to Butte County this week as they host Durham on Friday night and there is a lot to be excited about the matchup.

Del Rio said he and some of the Trojans staff have a good relationship and it means a lot to him as the rivalry between the schools has played out throughout multiple years.

Gridley 34, Red Bluff 13 - The Gridley Bulldogs stayed perfect in the 2026 season as they defeated the Red Bluff Spartans on the road with a big statement across the Northern Section.

The Bulldogs had a 13-0 half way through the second quarter as junior Johnny Delgado found senior wide receiver Benny Dewsnup for a 20-yard passing touchdown.

Delgado completed four passes for 60 yards and rushed the ball for 33 yards. He added two more touchdowns as he rushed them into the end zone.

Gridley led 13-6 at the half and owned the second half. Senior tight end Jace Griggs ran the ball six times for 82 yards in the win.

The story of the game for the Bulldogs was the relentless play of the defense. Gridley had 7.5 tackles for loss and intercepted three passes in the win.

Dewsnup and Griggs combined for 16 tackles in the win and each had 2.0 TFL’s.

The Bulldogs return to “The Boneyard” for the first time this year as they host the Paradise Bobcats on Friday night.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
