BUTTE COUNTY, CA (MPG) - With the Nov. 3 General Election approaching, the Butte County Elections Division is reminding voters to check their registration information before ballots are mailed.

Ballots for the election are scheduled to be mailed Oct. 5. Election officials encourage voters to verify that the address listed on their voter registration is current to help ensure ballots arrive on time.

Voters can check their registration status at voterstatus.sos.ca.gov. Those who need to change their address or update other registration information can also make changes online.

The Elections Division said ballot printing and preparation will begin in the coming weeks, making it important for voters to review their information before ballots enter the mail.
