GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - Northern Valley Catholic Social Service will host a Hispanic Heritage Celebration from 2 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at Nick Daddow Plaza in Gridley.

The community event will commemorate Mexican and Latin American independence and Hispanic Heritage Month while connecting families with local programs, services and resources available throughout Butte County.

Northern Valley Catholic Social Service plans to bring community organizations, families and local partners together for an afternoon focused on culture, community connections and access to services.

Organizations and agencies participating in the event will have an opportunity to share information about their programs and speak directly with families about available resources.

Participating agencies and vendors may set up from noon to 2 p.m. Organizations should provide their own tables, chairs and pop-up canopies, with canopies securely weighted. Organizers also ask participating agencies to contribute a family-friendly gift basket for the event's resource giveaway.
