GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - In a letter drafted to her patients, Dr. Maralee Bowers has shared the news that she intends to move on from her position at Orchard Hospital.

Bowers is a Gridley native and has been treating patients at Orchard Hospital’s Medical Specialty Center since 2022, after establishing a patient base with Gridley Medical Group and later Adventist Health-Gridley.

During her time at Adventist Health-Gridley and then Orchard Hospital Medical Specialty Center, Bowers offered Gridley and surrounding communities the unique service of seeing patients both in the clinical setting and in their homes.

Bowers said the decision to move on from Orchard Hospital was not an easy one and that she will miss seeing her patients. Her last day was Aug. 31.

“It has truly been a privilege to care for you and your families. I am very grateful for the trust you have placed in me, and I am sorry to have to leave so many patients that I have come to know and care about,” Bowers wrote.

Bowers will continue practicing with MyCatholicDoctor.com, moving predominantly to telehealth appointments, with the ability to provide in-home care in specific circumstances.

Board-certified in family medicine with the ability to treat patients of all ages, Bowers will continue to treat those 65 and older.
