Live music and traditional Mexican dance will take the stages at the Butte County Fair as entertainment accompanies the four-day fair Aug. 27-30.


GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - Live music and traditional Mexican dance will take the stages at the Butte County Fair as entertainment accompanies the four-day fair Aug. 27-30.

The music lineup begins Friday, Aug. 28, with Industrial Drive performing at 6 p.m. on the Courtyard Stage. The band will open the evening with a selection of classic rock.

Southbound will follow at 7:45 p.m. Friday at Jake's Bar. Billed as "A Southern Rock Revue," the band will bring Southern rock to the fair for the remainder of the evening.

Entertainment continues Sunday, Aug. 30, with Ballet Folklórico performances at 5 and 6 p.m. on the Courtyard Stage.

Ballet Folklórico is a traditional Mexican dance form that combines folk dance with ballet-style choreography. The performances celebrate and preserve Mexican cultural heritage through dance.

Live rock returns later Sunday when The E. Street News takes the stage at Jake's Bar at 7:45 p.m.

The E. Street News features experienced professional entertainers performing two fast-paced sets featuring songs from two iconic rock 'n' roll artists. The group performs live without backing tracks or vocal enhancement.
