OROVILLE, CA (MPG) – The third annual Stars, Stripes & Bikes motorcycle show raised nearly $15,000 for programs supporting local veterans and their families during its July 11 event at Feather Falls Casino Resort.

The fundraiser, organized by American Legion Riders Chapter 95 in partnership with Feather Falls Casino Resort, drew an estimated 200 to 300 motorcycles to the property throughout the day. Forty motorcycles entered the judged bike show, while 29 vendors participated in the event.

Raffles, awards and other activities helped raise money for American Legion Riders Chapter 95, which operates through American Legion Post 95 and supports veterans and their families in Oroville, Gridley, Chico, Paradise and Durham.

The organization's programs include memorial rides honoring fallen veterans, holiday meal assistance for veterans in need and a December Santa event for local children.

"Feather Falls Casino Resort believed in us and trusted us from the beginning, and this event could not have grown over the past three years without their support," said Missy Griffiths, secretary of American Legion Riders Chapter 95 and Area 1 vice director. "We are grateful to every vendor, rider, volunteer and supporter who showed up. Together, we raised nearly $15,000 that will remain focused on helping local veterans and their families."

Griffiths said riders traveled from across California to attend the event, including American Legion Riders chapters from Healdsburg and Norco. Some participants traveled more than 400 miles to take part in the motorcycle show.

According to organizers, the annual event continues to grow and serves as a fundraiser to support veterans and patriotic programs in the region.
