Peach Festival Unveils Entertainment Lineup

MARYSVILLE, CA (MPG) - Organizers of the 26th Annual Marysville Peach Festival have announced the entertainment schedule and food lineup for this year's event, which returns to Historic Downtown Marysville on Friday and Saturday, July 17-18.

The free community festival will feature more than 150 vendors, two entertainment stages, a kid's carnival, a peach pie eating contest and more than 50 peach-inspired food and beverage offerings.

Festival hours are 4 to 10 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday along D Street in downtown Marysville.

The Main Stage, located on D Street north of Seventh Street, will feature Under the Canopy from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, followed by Pocket Full of Whisky from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. and Thorkat from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Saturday's Main Stage lineup begins with Pocket Full of Whisky from 1 to 2 p.m., followed by Banner Mountain Blues Band from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., Industrial Drive from 5 to 7 p.m. and Hack Attack closing out the evening from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.

The South Stage, located on D Street north of Third Street, opens Friday with DJ Moon Tower from 4 to 5:30 p.m. The Peach Festival Awards and Sponsor Recognition ceremony follows at 5:30 p.m. Live music continues with Evan from 6 to 8 p.m. and Cold Pizza from 8 to 10 p.m.

Saturday's South Stage entertainment begins with DJ Moon Tower from noon to 1 p.m., followed by La Quinta from 1 to 2 p.m., Lithic from 2 to 3 p.m., a magician from 3 to 4 p.m., Rusted Halo from 4 to 6 p.m., The Rod Stinson Band from 6 to 8 p.m. and Inverness 95 from 8 to 10 p.m.

In addition to the entertainment, festival vendors will offer dozens of peach-themed menu items ranging from traditional desserts to savory entrees.

Visitors can enjoy favorites including peach cobbler, peach pies, peach cinnamon rolls, peach cookies, peach ice cream, peach milkshakes, peach smoothies and peach turnovers. The expanded menu also features peach barbecue tri-tip, barbecue chicken with peach sauce, tacos with peach salsa, peach teriyaki Spam musubi, lumpia with chili peach sauce, Canadian bacon and peach pizza, sourdough peach fritters and fresh-squeezed peach lemonade.

Other specialty offerings include peach-filled bomboloni, peach churros, peach boba drinks, peach shaved ice, peach parfaits, Portuguese biscuits with peaches, peach napoleons with Bavarian cream and waffle sticks topped with peach cobbler.
