PALO CEDRO, CA (YSBC) - Five 2026 football alumni from the Yuba-Sutter community represented their former schools and donned their colors for the final time on Saturday, June 20 in the 49th Annual Lions All-Star Game.

The Lions Club hosted multiple football games throughout last weekend, but this game focused on the Northern Section CIF and Yuba-Sutter schools from the Sac-Joaquin Section.

East Nicolaus had three players participate in the small-school game and all produced intricate parts throughout the contest.

Mason Taylor, Austen Felkins and Jaydan Marshall got to share the field together for one last time as a trio on the offensive end.

Taylor scored on a 23-yard rushing touchdown in the 33-14 loss to the North.

Marshall rushed for a few carries, but was a heavy force defensively as he applied pressure from the defensive line that included a pass-break up and multiple hurries for the North quarterback.

Felkins caught a few passes and did great blocking downfield.

During the large-school game, Lindhurst 2026 alumnus Riccy Phienemanh and Marysville alumnus Max Perez represented the lone SJS participants.

Phienemanh and Perez were part of the defensive charge that led a South comeback in a 26-21 loss.

The North took a double-digit lead in the first half. The South defense came out with a different attitude in the second half and made multiple adjustments that flustered the North.

Perez applied heavy pressure on the defensive line and Phienemanh made multiple open-field tackles.

The South took the lead halfway through the fourth quarter, but the North scored in the final minute of the game to pull off the sweep of both games.
