MARYSVILLE, CA (MPG) - Adventist Health and Rideout will return as the official healthcare partner of the Yuba-Sutter Freebirds for the 2026 baseball season, continuing a partnership focused on community health and local sports.

Adventist Health and Rideout first partnered with the Freebirds during the team’s 2025 season. Hospital officials said the renewed agreement reflects a shared commitment to supporting families and community programs throughout the Yuba-Sutter region.

“Adventist Health and Rideout has always believed in the power of community,” said Adventist Health and Rideout President Chris Champlin. “The Freebirds embody that same spirit, bringing people together, inspiring young athletes and creating a sense of belonging. We’re excited to continue building something meaningful with them.”

As part of the partnership, Adventist Health and Rideout Urgent Care will provide sports physicals for the Freebirds roster and continue offering walk-in sports physicals to the public for a flat fee of $50.

The organizations will also host Adventist Health Night at the Ballpark on May 22 during the Freebirds’ game against the Missoula PaddleHeads. The event will recognize healthcare workers, families and community members.

Dr. R.P. Singh, director of Adventist Health and Rideout’s electrophysiology program, is scheduled to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Adventist Health and Rideout for the 2026 season,” said Freebirds General Manager Harrison Shapiro. “Their support extends far beyond the ballpark. They’re part of the fabric of this community, and we look forward to working alongside them to support the well-being of our fans and the area we call home.”
