BIGGS, CA (YSBC) - The Biggs Wolverines softball team went 5-0 and won the 2026 Wolverine Classic that was held from March 26-28.

Biggs went 5-0 and outscored their opponents 48-18 over their time in the diamond across the 22 times they had a half inning of stepping into the batters box.

Wolverines senior Riley Harrison won the tournament most valuable player award as she collected five hits and hit eight runs-batted in (RBI).

Harrison pitched 11 innings in the circle and had 10 strikeouts throughout her three appearances.

Biggs senior ace Gracie Sheppard appeared in the circle against Los Molinos and Etna for a total of eight innings of work where she also sent eight hitters to the bench empty of strike.

The Wolverines will not have a home game until they host Maxwell on April 21 against Maxwell in Mid-Valley League play.

First-year head coach Zonah Headly has the team off to a great start in her first year at the top of the program.

Biggs traveled to Williams on Tuesday for the first set of MVL double headers, which was followed up by a road game at Durham on Wednesday and ended the week with an MVL doubleheader at Quincy on Thursday.
