LIVE OAK, CA (MPG) - The City of Live Oak Parks and Recreation Department will host its third annual Street Food Festival on Friday, April 17, bringing food vendors, music and family activities back to Broadway Street.

The event is scheduled from 5 to 8:30 p.m. and is open to the public. Organizers say the festival continues to grow as a community gathering centered on local food and small businesses.

Last year’s event drew hundreds of residents and visitors, even with poor weather conditions. More than a dozen vendors lined the street, offering a mix of savory meals and desserts. Families filled picnic areas, children played in open spaces and attendees moved between booths throughout the evening.

City officials aim to build on that momentum in 2026. The festival will again feature a variety of food trucks and vendors, along with a beer garden and live music. The event is designed to give residents a local option for dining and entertainment while supporting small businesses.

Broadway Street will serve as the central hub, with vendors set up along the downtown corridor. Organizers encourage attendees to arrive early to explore offerings and avoid lines as crowds build through the evening.

The Street Food Festival is part of a broader effort by the city to expand community events and create more opportunities for residents to gather. In recent years, attendance has increased as more vendors and families take part.

Those interested in participating as vendors or seeking additional event information can contact the City of Live Oak Parks and Recreation Department at (530) 695-2112.
