GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - On Sunday, March 22, Kids Choir will present the spring musical “Fat, Fat Jehoshaphat” at Gridley Christian Church at 10:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Using solos, group singing, speaking parts, lights and costumes, 17 kids from 4 years old through eighth grade will sing and act out the story of King Jehoshaphat from the Old Testament in the Bible.

Jehoshaphat (Keelia Hildebrand) teaches the importance of prayer to his subjects. The messenger (Paul Pino) brings a very frightening message. The high priest (Dwight Taylor) uses big words to impress God. Jahaziel the prophet (Archer Grimm) delivers a message from the Lord. The general (Charlie Hildebrand) protests about the choir being put in front for the battle. The choir director (Arabella Johnson) decides praise becomes a mighty sword.

Save the date for the “Let Freedom Ring” Music Camp scheduled for July 20-26 from 3 to 5 p.m. This will celebrate God's blessings during the nation’s 250 anniversary.
