BIGGS, CA (MPG) – The student body came out in strong support of the Biggs Varsity Boys Basketball Team as they left for the state playoff game Wednesday, March 4.

While the team met with coaches inside the gym as they prepared for departure, students of Biggs High School and athletes’ families gathered outside the doors, holding signs and creating a tunnel of celebration.

As the unsuspecting team opened the doors, cheers of congratulations rang out as the school celebrated its team.

The team was cheered on as they made their way down the tunnel and to their caravan, which was escorted out of town by Engine 73 from CAL FIRE’s Biggs Fire Department.

The Biggs Wolverines traveled to St. Vincent de Paul in Petaluma, CA, to take on the Mustangs.

Despite a phenomenal season, the Biggs boys suffered a loss of 64-52 to St. Vincent de Paul.
