BUTTE COUNTY, CA (MPG) - Local arts organizations in Butte County now have an opportunity to compete for a state designation that could bring up to $75,000 in annual funding and technical assistance.

The Butte County Board of Supervisors recently approved eligibility requirements for participation in the California Arts Council’s State-Local Partners program, formally opening the application process for interested agencies.

Under the program, one designated local arts agency in each county may receive general operating support, grant funding and technical assistance to promote cultural development. In Butte County, only one organization will be selected by the board to serve as the county’s State-Local Partner.

Organizations seeking designation must complete the California Arts Council’s State-Local Partners Application for Butte County and submit a Statement of Interest for Designation. Completed applications will be reviewed during the Board of Supervisors meeting on April 14.

If designated by the board, the selected agency will then be eligible to apply directly to the California Arts Council for grant funding and support through the State-Local Partners program.

Applications must be received by March 15. Submissions may be delivered by mail, in person or via email to Butte County Administration, 25 County Center Drive, Suite 200, Oroville, CA 95965. Applications may also be emailed to [email protected]. For additional information, call 530-552-3300.
