BIGGS, CA (MPG) - CAL FIRE Butte County firefighters rescued a baby goat last week afternoon after it became trapped inside a culvert in Biggs.
The Emergency Command Center in Oroville received the call at about 2:30 p.m. reporting the animal stuck underground. Crews responded and located the goat approximately 50 feet inside the culvert.
Firefighters set up air monitoring equipment before entering the confined space. Personnel then used a ladder to reach the goat and bring it to the surface.
The animal was not injured.
After the rescue, responders named the goat “Lucky.”
