Upcoming Highschool Sports Schedule

BUTTE-SUTTER COUNTY, CA (MPG) – As winter break wraps up for local school districts, action resumes on courts and fields throughout the area. The following are the upcoming games scheduled for the next week, featuring winter sports each school offers.
Gridley High School
Boys Basketball – On Thursday, Jan. 8, the Bulldogs travel to Sutter to take on the Huskies at 7:30 p.m.
Girls Basketball – The JV Lady Bulldogs get to it this week with tournament play at Las Plumas beginning Thursday, Jan. 8, running through Saturday, Jan. 10. Times to be decided.
Boys Wrestling – Varsity boys wrestling will be competing at the Tim Brown Memorial meet held in Sacramento Friday and Saturday, Jan 9-10.
Girls Wrestling – The Gridley High School girls wrestling team will be traveling to Napa Friday and Saturday, Jan. 9-10 to compete in the Napa Valley Girls Classic.
Live Oak High School
Boys Basketball – The Lions will take on the Maxwell Panthers at home, Jan. 9, 1:30/4:30 p.m. The Lions won’t hit the court again until Tuesday, Jan. 13, to take on visiting Orland at 5p.m./8 p.m.
Girls Basketball – The Lady Lions travel to Maxwell to take on the Panthers Friday, Jan. 9, with a short break until Tuesday, Jan. 13 when they host Orland Trojans.
Soccer – After taking on Hamilton City on Thursday, Jan. 8, the boys and girls teams travel to Gridley, Tuesday Jan. 13 to play 3:30/5:30 p.m.
Wrestling – The Lions travel to Napa to compete in the Napa Valley Girls Classic, Friday and Saturday, Jan. 9-10.

Biggs High School
Boys Basketball – After taking on the Live Oak Lions, the Wolverines host the Quincy Trojans Tuesday, Jan. 13 at 6:30 p.m.
Girls Basketball – The Lady Wolverines host the Mt. Shasta Bears, Friday, Jan. 9 at 5:30 p.m. They break until Jan. 20, when they travel to Portola to take on the Tigers.
