LIVE OAK, CA (MPG) – Snow blew into Live Oak the night of Dec. 5, as the Grinch and Santa got together with the community to celebrate the coming holiday season.

Live Oak’s Community Center served as the venue for dozens of vendors peddling hot and tasty food, crafts and more.

Live Oak High School’s FFA class helped run some of the games and entertainment as the community gathered to flip the switch on the holidays and official light the city’s Christmas tree.

Live Oak Vice Mayor Aaron Pamma and Councilman Bob Woten led the countdown for the lighting of the 2025 tree, which instead of a typical evergreen tree such as a spruce or a pine, decorated a tree shaped much like their oak tree.

The tree remains lit outside the Live Oak community center for all to enjoy throughout the season.
