GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - Richvale resident Sofia Jacobsen organized a free community clothing and toy exchange during last year's Christmas season, and the community responded with great generosity. She is bringing it back this year and invites all community members to donate and/or shop for free during the event. Everyone is invited to come find clothing and toys for their family. You do not need to drop off items to come. All items will be free.
Drop off times for clean, undamaged apparel and toys will be accepted Saturday morning, Dec. 6, from 9 a.m. to noon. Donations can also be dropped off on Tuesday, Dec. 9 from 4 to 7 p.m. The free shopping event will be Wednesday, Dec. 10, from 4 to 7 p0m. Drop off and shopping will be at 400 Spruce Street in Gridley, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
This event needs volunteers to organize the donations and assist the shoppers. If you are available to help, contact Jacobsen at 530-456-6617.
