The Biggs community Christmas tree stands ready to be lit, this coming Sunday, Dec. 7.
BIGGS, CA (MPG) – Project Biggs has been hard at work creating a wintery holiday scene for the upcoming Biggs Christmas Tree Lighting and Street Market, Dec. 7.
The main strip of B Street in the small town comes alive with laughter, cheers and “ahhh’s” as the public congregates to kick off the holiday season and flip the switch on the town Christmas tree.
The street market will open early at 3 p.m. Shoppers can expect some of the following vendors: The Farmers Wives, Peggy Lewis Holiday Wreaths, Forever Yours Permanent Jewelry, Kats Meow Children’s Clothing, Biggs FFA Floral, Heather Ramay Hair Tinsel and Breezy’s Closet, to name a few.

Cut outs, lights and more adorn the downtown park surrounding Biggs’ town Christmas Tree. Here Santa waves hello!
As for food, tastebuds will salivate over Rosies Corndogs & Snow Cones, Bigfoot Boba & Munchies, Potato Bar, K&P Kickin’ Kettle Corn, Churros Daisy and Tacos Lost Serranos.
Meanwhile, Santa will arrive by 4 p.m. for selfies, and the ugly sweater contest will begin at 5 p.m. Put on your worst Christmas sweater and join the fun. Yes, you will be judged, but in the best ways!
A volunteer decorating day was held Nov. 30 to prepare for the event and cover the area with Christmas spirit and decorations.

A village of who-houses, brightly shining trees and mischievous snow men invite all to celebrate the start of the holidays with the Biggs Christmas Tree Lighting and Street Market.
The town Christmas Tree will be lit at 6 p.m. with the event ending an hour later at 7 p.m. Before the night ends, the public will find out who the winner of this year’s Biggs Christmas Home Decorating Contest.
Winners will be announced at the tree lighting and stand a chance at winning inflatables, the “coveted Griswold’s Award,” Judges Choice and People’s Choice awards.
Project Biggs invites you to come out and enjoy the spirit of the Holidays with the community of Biggs.
