GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) – Butte County is taking steps towards constructing a Behavioral Health Center in Gridley. Butte County General Services recently published a notice of intent to adopt an initial study/mitigated negative declaration (IS/MND). The project’s name is Behavioral Health Services Facility Project. The project proposes constructing a 10,100 square foot Behavioral Health Center (BHC) at 185 Sycamore Street.

The Behavioral Health Center would provide a variety of behavioral health services to low-to-moderate income individuals and families in the Gridley area, provide space for counseling offices and large meeting rooms for group therapy and staff training. The project includes remodeling the parking areas at the Sycamore Street location.

There is a 30-day public review period for the IS/MND from Oct. 24 to Nov. 24. Interested parties and public agencies can submit written comments and must be mailed, submitted in person or via email to Shawn Rohrbacker, Project Manager, Butte County General Services, 2081 Second Street, Oroville, CA 95965. The email address is [email protected]. No public hearing will be held for the proposed project.
