BIGGS, CA (MPG) – Recently Biggs local Clint Owen, and his devoted wife Adrienne Owen received devastating news.

At just 38 years old, Clint Owen is facing the fight of his life after being diagnosed with T-Cell Leukemia, diagnosis that has upended their world. His treatment plan is expected to span an entire year, with the majority of his care taking place nearly ninety minutes from home. One critical phase, lasting two to three months, will require Clint and Adrienne Owen to remain within twenty minutes of the hospital due to the severity and risks involved — an arrangement that will inevitably bring significant financial strain.

Clint and Adrienne Owen are the proud parents of three children, ages 12, 14 and 16. They are the kind of people who quietly and consistently show up for others — humble, hardworking and generous with their time and energy. Now, they find themselves in the unimaginable position of needing the kind of help they’ve so often given.

Clint Owen works for a local almond and rice farmer, performing everything from spring orchard and field preparation and tractor operation, to harvest logistics and off-season equipment maintenance. Adrienne Owen co-owns a tax services business and neither Clint nor Adrienne Owen are no strangers to long hours and seasonal demands. They are resilient, industrious and deeply rooted in their community — but this is a season no amount of grit could have prepared them for.

Clint Owen needs to heal so he can once again hunt with his sons and be the strong, steady father every daughter deserves. Adrienne needs to return to her work and the community service she’s known for — whether it’s leading the Boosters Club, organizing team dinners for her son’s football team or volunteering at the Little League snack bar. Above all, they both want to be present, engaged parents for their children that they have always been.

While they are surrounded by a large and loving family ready to offer emotional support, the financial resources required for the year ahead are simply beyond reach.

According to the family, Clint Owen has begun his first treatment cycle, with Chemo every 12 hours until doctors are satisfied. He is set to undergo eight cycles of chemotherapy before undergoing a bone marrow transplant.

The community and their friends have rallied, starting small fundraising opportunities after receiving the news.

A Go-Fund-Me account has been set up to support these young parents and their family during this time. To donate, visit Gofundme/com and “Help Clint and Adrienne Through This Battle of Lukemia”. Other ways to donate directly include Venmo: @Adrienne-Owen-4  and Zelle: [email protected].
