GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) – Quotas 21 Annual Tasting Event returns in time for fall of 2025, to be held Saturday Oct. 25.

Quota has broadened the scope of their tasting to include local wine vintages, artisan brews, ciders and handcrafted root beers to tantalize patrons’ pallets.

At the previous year’s event, Tina Haro was inspired to incorporate grazing tables into the evening of tasting.

This year the ladies of Quota will combine the forementioned elements, creating an evening of delights without lines. Patrons will be urged to mingle and roam freely throughout the venue of Gridley’s Veterans Memorial Hall, sampling bite-sized hors d’oeuvres and charcuterie-style spreads on eight large grazing tables.

The Quota Tasting Event has been a staple to the group, originally held at the Portuguese hall, then moved to Veterans Memorial Hall for more space. Now 21 years later, it returns to the cherished historical venue and promises an evening of entertainment, door prizes, raffle opportunities and auctions, along with an excellent spread of delights and desserts.

A few twists have been added to the event besides the inclusion of the massive charcueturie-style grazing tables.

“We have never had the event on a Saturday,” shared event co-chair Cindy Davis. “We’ve had it on a Thursday for 20 years, so we are excited to see what this year brings!”

Davis said that she and co-chair Jan Myer hope the Saturday evening time frame will bring even more out to the event. The committee planned games and activities and arranged for a DJ to enhance the atmosphere of the event.

Raffle and auctions promise not to disappoint.

“We have some great donations from the local community” said Davis, sharing that auction items range from small to large ticket items.

This year the Quota 21st Annual Tasting Event will feature Feather Fall Brewery, Sierra Nevada Brewery and Sutter Buttes Brewery ales, and Silicia Winery (Live Oak), Hickman Family Vineyard (Bangor), Cordi Winery (Buttes), Greenstone Winery (Clarksville), Grey Fox (Oroville) and Grocery Outlet wines will be pouring.

For those non-alcoholic tasters, ciders will be available courtesy Safeway and locals Steve and Maggie Hepworth will provide their locally famous home brewed root beer.

To purchase a ticket for this evening of indulgence, visit the Gridley Quota Facebook Page or scan the QR code on the Gridley Herald’s ad. Tickets are $30/each - must be 21 to attend.
