YUBA CITY, CA (YSBC) - The Live Oak Lions won back-to-back games for the first time since 2024 as they defeated the River Valley Falcons 34-26 on Friday, Oct. 3.
Live Oak head coach Robert Tilton expressed to Yuba Sutter Butte Colusa Sports that he feels they gave up a lot of points defensively, but he is proud of the grittiness the Lions displayed to pull out the win.

Lions senior running back Ian Miranda was a work horse again as he ran for 188 yards on 26 carries in the win. Tilton credited the offensive line as a whole with giving a great push up front for the success of running for more than 250 yards in the victory.
Live Oak will travel to Oroville and play against Las Plumas to open Westside League play tonight, with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
GRIDLEY, CA - The Gridley Bulldogs ended non-league play with a 50-0 shutout victory over Willows on Friday, Oct 3.
