GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) – What started as an idea and a small group of enterprising women, the Farm Stand Tour has grown to nearly double its size in participating vendors and has developed a local fan base.

The tours began last summer as the season ended, affording the farm stands only a short window of time to hold their initial tour. The event saw an outpouring of community support and was a success, with goods selling out at multiple locations.

Since then, the entrepreneurs have been holding scheduled tours throughout the summer months. The last tour of the 2025 season will be held Saturday, Sept. 27 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Participating vendors include the Hasting Avenue Veggie Stand, Aldrich Farm Cart, Reis Ranch Produce, Wild Rye Farm, Social Hall Rd. Farm Stand, The Sheldon Stand, Two Sisters Farm Stand and new to the group, Canada Family Farms.

Maps will be available at the farm stands on the day of the tour.

An added feature to the tours this year is a chance to win raffle prizes, often baskets of goodies from the farm stands participating. Tour goers can qualify for the raffle by visiting each stand on the tour map.

Goods for sale include fresh flowers, produce, hand-made jewelry, baked goods and crafts.
