GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) – Recently, Studio J and the Spa at Studio J held a Hoco Glam Party to outfit all the local high school ladies with affordable, fashionable Homecoming dresses, hair & makeup services and more!

Sunday, Sept. 14, the salon and spa offered sparkling prom dresses for under $50.00, jewelry and accessories along with raffle prizes of gel nail manicures, spray tans and lash sets.

Turn out was amazing and owner Jenny Benson says that it was a huge hit with customers.

“This will absolutely be the first of many (Glam Party). We will do Twirp next and finish with Prom.”

She says the salon is currently booked up for hair appointments but is still offering discounted lash extension, facials and brow waxing for students. In addition, there are still dresses available for last-minute shoppers.

“We were able to donate a couple dresses to some sweet girls. Made their day!” says Benson, “Dances can be very costly, the dress alone… not to mention the rest of the ‘getting’ ready part!”

Raffle prizes consisted of 12 different salon services.  Studio J offers clients services from Chloe Cahoon (nails), Jaycee Ford (makeup/lashes), Zoey Stewart (brow waxing/makeup), Makenna Byrne (photography), Nichole Lumsden (florals), and Natalie Ratliff (spray tanning – golden girl tan).

Benson says that they are still taking floral orders for Homecoming dance boutonnieres for, $10 -$14 dollars and corsages from $16-$20. Mini bouquets are also available from $20-$55.

Studio J and the Salon at Studio J are located next to each other at 1010 and 1030 Spruce Street in Gridley.
