GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) – On March 5, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at Chloe’s Cosmetics and Beauty PMU (Permanent Makeup) Academy, 1061 Hazel St.

Gridley Area Chamber of Commerce President Lynne Spencer and other well-wishers attended the event.   

Tattoo artist Chloe Nguyen specializes in permanent makeup, including fine-line tattoos, powder ombré brows, lip blush, hand brows, scar camo and scalp micro-pigmentation. She is experienced with 30 certified master trainers worldwide. 

“I am passionate about helping my clients achieve their beauty goals through techniques rooted in quality, safety and artistry,” Nguyen said on her website at chloes-cosmetics.com. 

On the Chloe’s Cosmetics Facebook page, Nguyen said, “I am incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support & encouragement I have received as I open my permanent makeup & tattoo studio. This journey has been a dream come true. It wouldn't have been possible without the love & care from my family & friends.”

Makeup appointments last from two to three hours and the process has four stages: consultation to answer any questions, shaping to evaluate bone structure and map the brows, color and ink application, and perfecting session, about three weeks after the application. Due to the use of numbing agents, there is little to no pain involved, according to the website at beautypmuacademy.com. 

“We all have a unique skin type whether it be oily, dry or combination, and permanent makeup can heal differently, according to your skin type. When we do your consult, and I understand your brow goals, I will recommend the best technique for you. So, having an open mind will allow me to guide you to your best results,” said owner Tracy Wynn. 

Classes for the Beauty Permanent Makeup Academy offer three day-in-person training and official certification. No experience is required and classes start at $29 for 30 minutes.
