Bulldog Girls Season Ends Against Miners
Feb 27, 2025 12:10PM ● By Dillon LongmireGRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - The Gridley Bulldog girls’ basketball team traveled to Yreka to take on the Miners in their first 2025 D4 Northern Section California Interscholastic Federation (NSCIF) playoff game on Tuesday, Feb. 18.
The Bulldogs did not show fatigue from the long bus ride as they battled hard throughout the entire game. A back-and-forth balanced battle and the Bulldogs put up arguably their best fight of the season but it unfortunately was not enough to come out on top as the Bulldogs fell 60-53.
The Bulldogs ended the season with a 9-17 overall record and 5-5 in league. This was a step back from last season's success where they went 15-13 overall and 5-3 in league. With four of their players being seniors (Brook Marr, Reese Stevens, Alyssa Hubbard and Charity Archer), the Bulldogs will look to improve on this season with the juniors and sophomores from this season needing to step up.
Although this season might not have been what the players and coaches were hoping for, it is still important to celebrate the achievements of the team as they played hard every game.
