Butte County Public Health Welcomes New Health Officer

BUTTE COUNTY, CA (MPG) - The Butte County Department of Public Health has announced the appointment of Dr. Jarett Beaudoin as the county’s new public health officer.
Beaudoin brings a wealth of experience in clinical medicine, academia and public health to this vital role, where he will lead efforts to protect and improve the health and well-being of Butte County residents.
Beaudoin is a dual-board certified physician in Family Medicine and Preventive Medicine, holding a Master’s in Public Health. Beaudoin completed his residency training in a combined Family and Preventive Medicine program at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center and the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Beaudoin’s multidisciplinary expertise makes him uniquely qualified to address the health challenges facing the community.
Most recently, Beaudoin served as a family physician in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of California at Davis. In this role, he cared for patients of all ages in outpatient, emergency and inpatient settings.
“We are thrilled to have Dr. Beaudoin join our team,” said DeAnne Blankenship, interim director of the Butte County Department of Public Health. “His extensive background in clinical practice, public health and medical education will be instrumental as we continue to address critical health issues, from communicable disease prevention to community wellness initiatives.”
