OROVILLE, CA (MPG) - The Oroville Salvation Army will be collecting toys and gifts to donate to the families of those 33 students who attended the Feather River Adventist School during the recent tragic shooting.

Working in conjunction with the local Santa’s Workshop Program, toys and gifts will be gathered and delivered to the families starting the weekend of Dec. 20. Anyone wishing to drop off items can do so at the Oroville Salvation Army location, 1640 Washington Ave., Oroville.

Items will also be collected at Down Range Indoor Training Center at 13407 Garner Lane, Chico; Sweet Chico Confections at 21 W. 3rd St., Chico; Bowlero at 2397 Esplanade, Chico; and Bryan’s Bricks at 932 W. 8th Ave., Unit A, Chico.

The age range of the children is between 5 and 13 years old, with a mix of boys and girls.

Please have any donations submitted to the above locations by Wednesday, Dec. 18, so there will be enough time to put together the items for all the families by the weekend of Dec. 20, so they will have them in time for Christmas.

For any questions, contact Captain Helden Ainios with the Oroville Salvation Army at (279) 782-0304.
