GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - On Saturday, Nov. 2, the 10U Titans battled West Valley Jr. Eagles at Willows High School. It was the Titans’ second playoff game of the year and the game was a battle of both teams’ will and grit.

The Titans scored first with a run by DeAndre Carothers. However, that lead was cut short with a score by West Valley on the very next drive. In a close game you cannot have turnovers and unfortunately the Titans did and were unable to recover. The West Valley Jr. Eagles ended up pulling ahead, securing their victory and moving onto the Championship next week at Bear River High.

Coach Jason Davis Sr. said after the game, “It was a great season. The farther you go in a season the harder the loss feels if it comes. Although we set a goal to win a championship it wasn’t our only goal. Making these boys better football players than when the season started is the most important goal and I believe we accomplished that. Each player is at a different point in their football career, and they all have so much football left to play. The future for these kids is so bright and we look forward to the future.”
