Manzanita Gets Fired Up at Gridley Fire Department

GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - This week, Gridley Fire Station 74 kicked off Fire Prevention Week by hosting Amanda McClellan’s transitional kindergarten class from Manzanita Elementary School.
Students had the opportunity to see all the tools and equipment that firefighters use every day, spray water and learn how to operate some specialized equipment.
Students then got a chance to sit in the firefighter’s recliners and talk about fire safety with the personnel from the station.
As Fire Prevention Week continues, remember to always have a plan with your family in case of a fire and to always have two ways out of your home and bedroom.
