GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - A unique event is coming to Gridley this Friday and although it’s pretty quiet, it’s something to get excited about.

Electric Sound DJ’s, Black Noise and the Gridley Rotary Club present the Silent Disco.

This all-ages event will be held Friday, Oct. 18 at the Butte County Fairgrounds’ Butte Hall.

Each participant will be provided with headphones to tune into one of three different DJs playing different types of music. Whether it’s Top 40, country or Latin, there is sure to be something for everyone.

Don’t like the song? Simply tune into one of the other DJs for a moment.

Rotary members will be there to satisfy any hunger pangs with snack-bar style foods: hotdogs, nachos, drinks and more will be available for purchase. Funds raised will be used for the Rotary Scholarships available to area students (see a Rotary member for details on how to apply).

The Silent Disco starts at 8 p.m. and runs until 11 p.m. on Friday night. Tickets can be purchased online at Eventbrite.com for $7 or at the door for $15.
