GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - On Saturday, Sept. 28 the Gridley Titans 12U football team took on the Yreka Jr. Miners.

In the first half both teams played hard. Titans’ #2 Knox Buzzard scored the first touchdown for the Titans. In the second half Buzzard and #42 Adrian Fuentes scored two additional touchdowns for the Titans.

The Titans’ defense had multiple sacks and shutdown the Jr. Miners’ offense for most of the game. Fuentes returned a punt for a touchdown for one of the Titans’ second half touchdowns. #22 Yoshimar Martinez was successful on all three point after touchdown kicks, which helped give the Titans their victory over the Jr. Miners 24-14. This brings the Titans’ record to 4 wins and 2 losses.
