GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - On Sept. 28 the 10U Titans traveled 3 hours north to the town of Yreka to take on the Jr Miners.

It was a battle from the start, with both teams scoring on their first two drives. With the score tied at 13 with about a minute left in the first half, Titan quarterback Boss Davis threw a screen pass out to Deandre Carothers, who took it 45 yards for a touchdown.

After the half, the Titans got the ball and went on a 64-yard drive capped off by a 6-yard touchdown run by Tyler Smith.

In the end the Titans were too much for the Jr. Miners. Jase Lowry, Francisco Guillen III and Sebastian Kneeland had a standout day on the line for Gridley. The final score was 40-26 keeping the 10U Titans undefeated on the season with a 6-0 record. Touchdowns on the day were scored by Israel Hernandez (1), Deandre Carothers (3), Boss Davis (1) and Tyler Smith (1).

The 10U Titans travel to Cottonwood on Saturday, Oct. 5 to take on the undefeated West Valley Jr Eagles in a battle of the unbeatens.
