GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) -
The Gridley Titans 14U kept rolling as they faced off against the Anderson 14U Jr Cubs.

The Titans defense took the field first, Carson Cornell came up with an interception to get the game started. The Titans offense started off a little shaky not scoring on its first possession, but after getting focused they couldn’t be stopped. Alec Luquin threw for two touchdown passes, a 24-yard TD to Hudson Oakley and a 34-yard TD to Jaiden Bandy. The running game for the Titans couldn’t be stopped thanks to Benny Zumwalt rushing for 62 yards and Aiden Girardot rushing for 22 yards and two touchdowns. Zay Juarez also contributed to the rushing total with a 50-yard rushing TD. None of this was possible without the stellar offensive line consisting of Hunter Jacobs, Aaron Quist, Liam Ayers, Rayden Vaughn and Jayden Dingman.

The Titans defense had another great showing, allowing Anderson to only have six offensive possessions. Defensively, the team collected one interception, one safety, four sacks and numerous tackles in the back field. The final score of the game was 40-0, with eight of those points being scored by Titan kickers Talon Sannar and Jose Briseno. The Titans 14U team stays on the road this week facing Yreka after press time.
