A Breakfast for Jaime
Sep 26, 2024 02:13PM ● By Seti LongGRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - On the weekend of Sept. 14, Gridley lost 19-year-old Jaime Alejo in a tragic accident.
His family, friends and many in the community are devastated.
Because Alejo was a Gridley High School alumni and former captain on the varsity football team, the Gridley High School football team has made it a mission of theirs to help raise funds for the Alejo family.
A bake sale will be held at this Friday’s Gridley High School football game.
In addition, a benefit breakfast has been planned from 7:30 to 11 a.m. Oct. 6 at the Gridley Mason Lodge. A meal of pancakes, sausage and eggs will be served for just $10 a plate, with all proceeds going to the Amezcua-Alejo family.
Donations of baked goods are still needed for the Friday, Sept. 27 bake sale.
For more information, to purchase tickets or to donate, contact Lydia Zumwalt at 530-720-2975 or Yolie Davis at 408-529-2783. You can also contact any Gridley High School football player for ticket sales.
