GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - The Farm Stand Tour, brought to the community last weekend by six lovely ladies, was a wild success.
The tour included six locations, including The Cackleberry Hut, Aldrich Family Stand, Reis Ranch Produce and Windmill Flower Farms.
Lavender infused syrup, fresh juicy pluots, lime-honey butter, fresh sourdough boles, garden flower bouquets, ripe tomatoes and freeze-dried honey candies were just a small sampling of the farm stand offerings for sale.
Nicole Allard of The Cackleberry Hut reported that she sold out of 16 loaves of bread and 32 cinnamon rolls 19 minutes after opening her stand for the tour, Saturday, Sept. 7.
The Sheldon Self-Serve Stand was wiped out of freeze-dried watermelon and pushed the last of their dried treats out, while the Aldrich Family stand sold out of its lavender syrups, tomatoes and more.

The organizers of the tour told the Herald that Saturday was the busier of the two days of the sale. Overall, Allard and the others report an incredibly successful event with overwhelming support from the community.
After such a great event, the ladies are evaluating their next move, taking into account the harvest season is winding down.
In the meantime, they encourage the community to continue to stop by their stands as they will continue to have various goods out for sale.
