GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - Recently, members of the Gridley Veterans of Foreign Wars post 5731 presented the local Moose Lodge with a token of their appreciation.
Sergio Gonzales, representing Gridley VFW, shared with the Herald that the Gridley Moose Lodge has donated their facility on multiple occasions to support VFW activities and fundraisers.
The veterans noticed that they needed a new flag, as the one that flew above the establishment was getting a little worn and wasn’t the right size. Gridley VFW took the time to get the measurements of the pole and order one the appropriate size for the flag-to-pole ratio.
Gonzales presented the new flag to members of the moose, accompanied by city council member James Roberts.
James Pruitt of the Moose said that he was happy to support the VFW and honored to receive the flag on behalf of the club.
