GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - The Kids’ Choir will begin meeting at Gridley Christian Church from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Tuesdays, starting Sept. 3.  The kids’ Christmas musical, “Wise Guys & Starry Skies,” will be rehearsed Tuesdays until the performance date of Sunday, Dec. 8.  Kids 4 years old through eighth-grade are encouraged to join us in singing about the birth of Jesus. 

Age-appropriate speaking parts and solos will be given to those who want them.   We want the kids to discover their God-given musical and dramatic talent using this fun medium of Christian musical theater.  Simple choreography, Bible lessons, snacks, sign language and a memory verse are also part of our time together.

This wonderful musical is about Jesse who travels from the west to become a Wise Guy.  He meets up with Melchior, Gaspar and Balthasar, who are leaving to find the heavenly King.  They show Jesse the star and Jesse tells them the ancient prophecies about the heavenly King’s birth.  While following the star, Cookie feeds them well with menu items such as prune pit salad, wings of sparrow and beetle juice.
