GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - Those wishing to purchase an animal at the Butte County Fair Livestock auction and support area youth have a new way to submit bids.

This year, BidCal will be hosting a webcast version of the 2024 Butte County Fair Auction and will be assisting with add-on bids for animals sold during the event.

Bidding begins Friday, Aug. 23 (start time TBA) and closes Saturday, Aug. 24.

Those interested can visit the BidCal website at https://www.bidcal.com to view links to the Jr. Livestock “Early Bird” auction and Ag Mechanic “Early Bird” auction. Follow those links to catalogs of livestock and items to be sold at the upcoming fair.

A link is also provided on the same site to submit add-on bids. In a letter to potential buyers, BidCal reminds bidders that 100% of add-ons will go to the showman.

BidCal notes on their website that they are partnering with the Butte County Fair and donating their services to provide convenience to bidders and “to increase donor support in order to strengthen the Jr. Livestock program for the long-term.”
