GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - Recently, Gridley’s Lynne Spencer, who wears many hats, was awarded for her work with one of the non-profits she is affiliated with.

The Community Action Agency of Butte County, Inc. awarded Spencer with a Certificate of Appreciation for her work as Gridley Site Lead for the North State Food Bank.

They thanked her for her “selfless dedication, unwavering commitment, and invaluable contributions to food distributions.”

Spencer helps organize and distribute goods with the food closet out of the St. Timothy’s Church. She helps get whatever goods are left over to others in need, arranging a place for storage and a later time for pick-up if the party is not able to make it during food bank hours.

The St. Timothy’s site of the North State Food Bank is open the second Tuesday of each month from 10 to 11:30 a.m. The church is located at 410 Jackson St., Gridley.
