Stiles Named District Commander

GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - On Saturday, July 13, Owen Stiles, the commander of South Butte Post 210, American Legion, was elected as the Department of California American Legion Area 1, District 4 Commander. He succeeds Danarae Roub of Post 42.
This district is comprised of 11 American Legion posts in Tehama, Glenn, Butte, Sutter and Colusa counties.
In 1919, The American Legion was founded on four pillars: Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation, National Security, Americanism, and Children and Youth. Each of these pillars encompasses a variety of programs that benefit the nation’s veterans, its service members, their families, America youth and ordinary citizens.
Commander Stiles is responsible for overseeing these activities.
