GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) – Another year, another luncheon and another satiated community, thanks to the Quota International salad luncheon.
The annual fundraiser is always a hit, featuring a plethora of salads and treats set out buffet-style for patrons to feast on while they visit with colleagues and friends.
The ladies of Quota International put on another lovely luncheon enjoyed by all attendees!
The 2024 beach-themed Quota salad luncheon was held inside Jakes at the Butte County Fairgrounds, with Quotarians Angie Cote’ and Pam Scott shuttling guests from the parking lot to the event via golf cart. Upon arrival, the ladies of Quota welcomed those at the door, collecting tickets and selling raffle/auction tickets for gift baskets and the traditional 50/50 drawing.
Vendors selling beautiful faux flowers, purses, artisan laser wood crafts, Tupperware and more set their wares out for visitors to browse. Festive tropical decorations and bright blue and gold balloon bouquets, courtesy of Anthony’s Balloons, punctuated the event, creating a cheerful atmosphere while guests sampled a variety of salad dishes.
With Angie Cote behind the wheel and Pam Scott navigating, guests such as the Hammans enjoyed a complimentary shuttle from the parking lot to the doors of the Quota Luncheon.
A steady stream of diners began to arrive as doors opened at 11 a.m., Friday May 5 and continued until the event’s closure at 1:30 p.m. Nearing the close of the event, a variety of gift baskets would be raffled off and Susan Jarret would be the unsuspecting winner of the 50/50 raffle.
Proceeds from the event help fund Quota scholarships, which will be awarded to graduating seniors as soon as the end of the month.
The Gridley Quota Club meets the second and fourth Wednesday of the month at the Gridley Presbyterian Church’s back hall. For more information, please email [email protected] or visit the Facebook page, Quota International of Gridley.
