GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - The Butte County Fair expects more than 300 community members to attend this year's Volunteer Day & BBQ. Projects begin at 8:00am and are as varied as the volunteers: pressure washing, sewing, painting, gardening, and more.

This year, projects will also be available at community locations. Volunteers will be completing projects in downtown Gridley, at The Garden at St. Timothy’s, and at Sycamore Middle School. Several community groups are involved: Calvary Chapel, Quota, Lions, GHS Baseball, FFA, Garden Club, and Interact Club.

Volunteers are encouraged to wear work clothes. The sign-in table will be next to the fair office. Volunteers will complete projects and then gather in Farmers Hall at 11:00am for barbequed hamburgers and hot dogs. All are invited to come join in.
