GHS to Present Classic Musical “Oklahoma!”

GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - Gridley High School is set to enchant audiences with a spectacular performance of the classic musical “Oklahoma!” by Oscar Hammerstein II and Richard Rodgers. Taking center stage from March 7 to 9, the production promises an unforgettable experience for attendees. Under the musical direction of Ethan Jacobsen, and with the artistic guidance of director Connie Quist, the cast is ready to bring this timeless tale to life.

The lead roles showcase a talented ensemble of students, with Alex Brown stepping into the boots of Curly and Zoey Williams taking on the role of Laurey. Kaiza Quist brings Aunt Eller to life while Cody Grover portrays the complex character of Jud Fry. Peyton Quist will play the part of Will Parker and Cheymarah Spade charms the audience as Ado Annie. The character of Ali Hakim is portrayed by Christian Harshbarger, adding humor and flair to the production.

The Gridley High School community is buzzing with anticipation for this theatrical extravaganza, as these dedicated students, under the guidance of their directors, have put in countless hours of rehearsal to ensure a mesmerizing performance. As these curtains rise on March 7th, the audience can expect an immersive journey into the heart of the American Midwest, complete with lively music, captivating choreography, and a talented cast that truly brings “Oklahoma!” to life.

GHS will present “Oklahoma!” in the GUARDIAN Building at 200 E. Spruce Street in Gridley. Performances are Thursday-Saturday, March 7-9, at 7:00pm, with a 2:00pm matinee on Saturday the 9th. Tickets are available at ghs.gusd.org, click on “Student Store.” Tickets will also be available at the door. Tickets are $12 for adults, and $8 for K-12 students.
